At the other end of the Rievaulx Terrace is a roman-styled Tuscan or Doric Temple. This rotunda has a medieval tiled floor and painted ceiling and is said to be inspired by the Temple of Vesta in Rome. Above the columns are carved rams heads and rosettes.
